Students who are pursuing a career that involves treating or interacting with brain injury survivors need to master an array of brain injury information. To help students prepare for their awaiting roles, the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) has developed certification, certificate, and professional education resources to assist in their professional development journeys.
Provisional Certified Brain Injury Specialist
The Provisional Certified Brain Injury Specialist (PCBIS) certification provides in-depth training for those who intend to develop a career working with individuals who have sustained a brain injury. As a PCBIS, pre-professionals can develop a solid foundation in the field of brain injury rehabilitation and services. Enrollment in a degree program at an accredited university in Allied Health, Psychology, Pre-Medical, Special Education, Neuroscience, or Behavior Analysis is required to be eligible for this certification.
