Provisional Certified Brain Injury Specialist
Become a part of the nation’s largest and longest running professional brain injury certification program
The Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists (ACBIS) offers Provisional Certified Brain Injury Specialist (PCBS) certification to students pursuing careers in brain injury rehabilitation. As a PCBIS, pre-professionals can develop a solid foundation in the field of brain injury rehabilitation and services.

Eligibility Requirements
PCBIS candidates should be enrolled in a graduate degree program at an accredited university in one of the following areas (including, but not limited to):
- Allied health
- Psychology
- Pre-medical
- Special education
- Neuroscience
- Behavior analysis
Training
Official ACBIS training is conducted by Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainers (CBIST). Trainings are organized by CBISTs directly, by CBIST University Professors, the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) and our affiliates, and third-party service providers. Training is not required to sit for the examination; self-study is an option. For more information, please visit:

| Annual CBIS Renewal | $70 |
*Application fees are non-refundable unless the applicant does not meet eligibility requirements, in which case a $35 cancellation fee will be applied. Application fees are retained for up to one year following payment submission.
