The Brain Injury Fundamentals certificate offers direct care professionals and family caregivers the opportunity to deepen their understanding of brain injury. To obtain your certificate, you must complete a series of training modules. With the self-paced option, you can watch the training modules at your own pace, making for a more flexible training opportunity. Read on to learn more about the course and how to register.

Step 1: Register for an Instructor-Led Webinar and Purchase Materials

Register in the BIAA Learning Platform for an instructor-led webinar and purchase the Brain Injury Fundamentals self-paced course: $125 (Includes video access, live webinar, and workbook). Payments received by Thursday at 3:00 p.m. EST ship Friday; later payments ship the following Friday. Fees are non-refundable. Payment by credit card only.

Step 2: Complete the Self-Paced Modules

Watch training videos and complete workbook exercises prior to the webinar. Videos are available 24/7.

Step 3: Attend the Live Instructor-Led Webinar

This webinar is two hours long, and attendance is required to continue with the Self-Paced course. The instructor will provide access to the quiz and certificate instructions.

Step 4: Complete the Online Quiz

The online quiz is open-book and contains 34 multiple-choice questions in addition to two ungraded short-answer questions. You must receive a minimum score of 80% to pass. Results are immediate, and scores remain confidential. If you do not reach the 80% passing threshold, you may retake the quiz. You have unlimited free retakes within one year of the training date.

Step 5: Immediate Access to the Certificate Upon Completion Of:

  • Payment
  • Course attendance
  • Quiz completion
  • The certificate must be requested within one year of training
