Need continuing education credits?
Following successful completion of the course, participants are eligible to receive:
- 5.00 ACBIS Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
- 5.00 Enduring Materials, Self-Study American Academy for Family Physicians (AAFP) Elective credit(s)*
Course Components
Participants will have access to:
- A two-hour recorded webinar
- An 8-chapter digital format course manual that provides readers with detailed information and case illustrations on concussion:
- Diagnostic criteria
- Effects and outcomes
- Prevalence
- Assessment tools
- Treatments
- Protocols for their return to activities
Following the course, participants are directed to complete a 45-question assessment to test their understanding of the material covered. Participants must pass the assessment with a score of 80 percent or higher to earn CEUs through ACBIS and Elective credits through AAFP. The assessment is not proctored, has no time limit, and may be taken as many times as needed to pass.
Accommodation is provided in accordance with ADA guidelines.
* AAFP has reviewed BIAA’s Understanding Concussion: Symptoms, Diagnosis, and Treatment Approaches and deemed it acceptable for up to 5.00 Enduring Materials, Self-Study AAFP Elective credit(s). The term of Approval is from 06/01/2025 to 06/01/2026. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
