How to Become a Brain Injury Fundamentals Instructor

Help others learn about brain injury fundamentals by becoming an instructor.

Becoming a Brain Injury Fundamentals Instructor:

Eligibility:

  • Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIS/T)
  • Or, Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) with certification for 3+ years

Maintenance: Renew CBIS/CBIST certification to maintain instructor status.

  • Renewal of CBIS/CBIST is concurrent with Fundamentals Instructor Status
  • No additional requirements apply

Application Process:

  1. Apply for free online at youtestme.com. To find the application, go to assignments, then additional forms, then Brain Injury Fundamentals Application. Please allow 5-7 business days for application processing. All application questions can be directed to applications@biausa.org 
  2. Attend a “Train the Trainer” webinar (approximately 30 minutes)
  3. Complete a mandatory survey

Training Materials:

  • Approved instructors will be provided with a Fundamentals Instructor Guide and PowerPoint slides for the Program Modules located in the Instructor Secure Zone
