Application Process
The Brain Injury Association of America's Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists (ACBIS) is the nation's premiere brain injury certification program.
Applications are valid for one year. Reapply if the full process (approval, testing, and any retesting) isn’t completed within that time.
What applicants need to complete the application:
- Resume/CV
- The CBIS Employment Verification completed by a qualified verifier
- Detailed instructions on account creation, purchasing, and completing a CBIS Application are available on our FAQ page.
Application Instructions
Step One: Log in and proceed to the Catalog to purchase the CBIS Application.
Note: If the application fee was paid by someone other than the applicant, please select the “Enrollment Key” option on the homepage and enter the key provided on the receipt.
Step Two: After purchasing, complete all CBIS Application steps:
- CBIS Application Survey
- Upload Employment Verification Form
- Automated Proctoring Technology Pre-Check
- Application Submission Confirmation
Step Three: Once the application is approved, an email with a unique link to access the CBIS Examination will be sent.
Step Four: The certification will be issued upon passing the examination.
