The world of brain injury is complex. That’s why the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) has compiled a catalog of resources to help professionals explore the various intricacies of brain injury and recovery.
The Essential Brain Injury Guide
The Essential Brain Injury Guide (EBIG) contains more than 400 pages of vital information about brain injury, its treatment, and rehabilitation. The EBIG will reinforce your knowledge of brain injury and, if you’re taking the Certified Brain Injury Specialist exam, serve as a study resource. This publication also features updated information about brain injury treatment, statistics, references, and resources. Purchase your copy here.
The National Brain Injury Information Center
BIAA established the National Brain Injury Information Center (NBIIC) to support individuals and families who experience the life-changing effects of brain injury. The compassionate, knowledgeable brain injury specialists at NBIIC offer user-friendly information about brain injury and assist those who reach out in locating the specific rehabilitative, legal, financial, and other support services critical to maximizing their individual recovery needs. Professionals are welcome to recommend NBIIC as a resource to their clients and families, or contact NBIIC with any questions they may have related to brain injury treatment and care. To get in touch, call 1-800-444-6443.
Social Media
BIAA has a presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, where we post resources and updates about the organization. We also have a YouTube channel that contains recorded webinars, survivor events, and more. BIAA’s social media can be a resource to you as a professional, or it can be recommended to your patients.
Virtual Trainings from the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists
The Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists (ACBIS) hosts virtual trainings throughout the year for the following certificate and certification programs.
- Certified Brain Injury Specialist
- Provisional Certified Brain Injury Specialist
- Brain Injury Fundamentals
