Live Virtual Training for Certified Brain Injury Specialist Certification Now Available

The Brain Injury Association of America will host a live virtual training for individuals interested in pursuing their Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) certification on Oct. 18-19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.
This two-day intensive course will equip participants with knowledge to enhance the quality of care for individuals with brain injury, and is ideal for professionals who are working in acute care, post-acute rehabilitation, behavioral health, social work, vocational rehabilitation, or education. It covers essential topics for those sitting for the CBIS exam, including:
- Diagnostic imaging
- Medical, physical, cognitive, neurobehavioral, and psychosocial consequences of brain injury
- Concussions/mild TBI
- Disorders of consciousness
- Rehabilitation philosophy and outcome measurement
- Impact on families
- Cultural humility and cultural competence
- Gender and sexuality
- Military population
- Participation
- Return to work
