BIAA Kicks Off Brain Injury Awareness Month with New Resources, Events, and More

Every March, the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) leads the nation in observing Brain Injury Awareness Month. This year, we have exciting new developments for the brain injury community, including new advocacy initiatives, events, fundraising opportunities, and more.

How to Get Involved During Brain Injury Awareness Month

This year, we are streamlining the ways that you can get involved during Brain Injury Awareness Month as well as equipping you with new tools to help tell the story of our community. Our free Brain Injury Awareness Month toolkit includes new resources and tips for maximizing your impact.

After downloading your toolkit, you’ll have the materials you need to share your story and spread the word about what it’s like to live with brain injury. Everyone with a brain injury has a story to tell, and we’d love to share yours. You can use our premade social media templates to create a post, sample language about the campaign to write a letter or a blog, printable signs to hang up or use, and more.

BIAA will host a free webinar on March 16 at 3 p.m. ET on how to share your brain injury story effectively during Brain Injury Awareness Month and all year long. This session will guide you through our My Brain Injury Journey campaign resources, showing you how to transform your personal experience into a powerful tool to advocate for change. You’ll learn practical strategies for sharing your story with friends, family, your community, and elected officials, and discover how your voice can contribute to critical advocacy efforts. You’ll leave with ready-to-use templates, proven storytelling techniques, and the confidence to become a voice for brain injury in your community and beyond. Register here.

Brain Injury Awareness Month is also a great opportunity to get involved in brain injury advocacy causes. There are many ways you can get involved, from introducing a resolution or proclamation in your hometown to joining hundreds of other advocates on Capitol Hill. Check out our advocacy resources to learn more.

You can also help raise awareness by supporting our mission. Be a voice for brain injury this March by talking to friends and family about the importance of brain injury awareness and asking them to support the mission of the BIAA. We’ve made it easy for you to set up a fundraising page that shares why brain injury is important to you and lets you fundraise for a good cause. We also have new, exciting items available for any fundraisers who reach $100, $250, or $500 with their fundraiser.
