On October 18, 2024, I had the opportunity to attend the 2024 TBI Symposium, hosted by Universal Court Reporting at the Boca Raton Marriott. From 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, the day was packed with invaluable insights, cutting-edge research, and conversations with some of the leading professionals in the field of traumatic brain injury.

As someone who regularly represents clients suffering from TBIs, events like this are essential. They allow me to stay at the forefront of medical developments, legal strategies, and treatment protocols, so I can better advocate for my clients and ensure their injuries are fully understood and accounted for in every case.

What stood out most were the collaborative discussions between medical experts, legal professionals, and rehabilitation specialists. It reinforced the importance of a multidisciplinary approach when handling these complex and often invisible injuries.

I left the symposium energized and better equipped to continue fighting for justice on behalf of my TBI clients. I’m grateful to Universal Court Reporting for putting together such a meaningful and impactful event.

In August of last year, a client came to me after being severely rear-ended by a negligent driver. The impact had caused a traumatic brain injury, leading to constant headaches, memory lapses, and a cognitive fog that made it difficult to work or manage daily responsibilities—especially running their small business, which relied heavily on their vehicle that was totaled in the crash.

From the start, I knew this case required more than just legal skill—it required compassion, patience, and a clear understanding of how TBIs affect every part of a person’s life. My team and I took immediate action to ensure the client had access to the right medical care, while we built a strong case focused on the long-term impact of their injuries.

With traumatic brain injuries, the symptoms are often invisible but deeply disruptive. That’s why I make it a priority to not only advocate fiercely for my clients but also to guide them through the process with clarity and support. I handled everything so my client could focus on healing—no more chasing adjusters, worrying about paperwork, or trying to understand the legal system while in recovery.

This case reminded me why I do what I do. Helping people through the fog of a life-changing injury and ensuring they’re treated with the respect and compensation they deserve is what drives me every day. I was honored to be the person my client could count on when everything else felt uncertain.
