Katie Krauseneck
MS, OTRL, CBIST
Katie Krauseneck, MS, OTRL, CBIST, is an Occupational Therapist and the Director of Clinical Services at Community Connections for Independent Living; a CARF accredited provider of supported independent living services in metro Detroit, MI. She began her career in catastrophic care in Atlanta, GA at the Shepherd Center as a therapist on the inpatient Spinal Cord Injury Unit and then moved to Michigan where she transitioned to sub-acute rehabilitation and home care. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary health services with a minor in psychology, and a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Katie has a passion for program development, conscious leadership, and cultivating the skills and personal interests of professionals specializing in TBI rehab. She strives to honor the unique stories of TBI survivors and enjoys the opportunity to watch them gain the confidence to engage in meaningful roles and participate in their communities. She will always call Missouri home but has lived in Michigan with her husband and two young children since 2012 and spends as much time on the lake boating as possible. She has a young puppy who is in the process of Therapy Dog certification to assist with emotional support of staff and survivors at CCFIL and she is on the Professional Development Committee for the Michigan Brain Injury Provider Counsel.
