BIAA Welcomes Tennessee as a Chapter

June 1, 2025

Tennessee has been an affiliate of the Brain Injury Association of America for many years and is now taking the next step by becoming a chapter within the organization. This transition from affiliate to chapter will allow the Brain Injury Association of America, Tennessee Chapter (BIAA-TN) to better support brain injury survivors, caregivers, and professionals in the state by expanding existing services and programs. As a chapter, BIAA-TN will build on the dedication and hard work of the affiliate’s staff, board members, and volunteers, whose efforts have laid a solid foundation for brain injury support and advocacy in the state.

Stacy Mulder is BIAA-TN’s new Executive Director. She brings more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit management, program development, and fundraising, having served in leadership roles with five other health-related organizations. Stacy is hitting the ground running by forming four community councils focused on guiding and supporting BIAA-TN’s work in the state. We look forward to working together to improve the quality of life of people in Tennessee affected by brain injury across their lifespan by advancing prevention, awareness, research, treatment, education, and advocacy.
