In January of 2010, I participated in a panel discussion with five other disabled Americans to talk
to a class of OT and PT students (at Midwestern University) to help them understand the impact and meaning of
disability in a person’s life.

Since then, I have participated in at least five more panel discussions on various
topics regarding disability. I’ve also been a Lab Assistant for their graduate students where I’ve provided
examples and feedback on resources I have used during my recovery. After releasing my book in July of 2021,
(‘Like a Snowflake: My experience and recovery from TBI’) I was asked by a graduate speech therapy student and
his professor at The University of the Pacific to talk to their Neurological Disorders class about it.
