How Debbie wishes she didn’t have this story to tell. Debbie’s 18-year-old daughter was returning from the beach 4 weeks before she was due to graduate high school and go on to college when on a beautiful Friday afternoon her daughter and her best friend were hit head on by a drunk and drugged driver. She was thrust into the world of trauma and a traumatic brain injury. Debbie lives in Virginia with her amazing husband Ray. Debbie is an award-winning sales person and since May of 2017 has become an advocate for anyone suffering a brain injury. Debbie has founded a traumatic brain injury support group for TBI survivors and their caregivers. Though her writing and speaking she hopes to help bring awareness to the challenges of traumatic brain injury and caregiving.

Her most important job is mom to her children and Yaya to two beautiful grandchildren.
