Siegel, Tim

Tim Siegal

Texas

My name is Tim Siegel. I was the tennis coach at Texas Tech for 23 years. I resigned on July 8, 2015 so that I could spend more time with my family. 20 days later, My son Luke suffered head and chest trauma from a golf cart accident, resulting in an anoxic brain injury.

In January of 2018, I became the executive director of Team Luke Hope for Minds, a non profit that supports children after brain injury.

In less than two years, we have given out over $300,000 to families all over the country.

My son Luke is now 13, and is the greatest fighter I know. He responds to commands through tongue movement, and has inspired thousands with his determination.

I have spoken to thousands of people all over Texas and Arkansas spreading awareness and sharing our message of putting one foot in front of the other. I have been honored to speak to over 30 schools, college teams, and numerous businesses, including Merrill Lynch and Aflac.

Speaking in front of 10 or 1,000 people is what I love to do, and I feel that this my calling to give hope and inspire.
