My Life as a Brain Injured American

I was in an m.v.a. in 1989, in which my father was driving through an intersection and collided with another vehicle. I was thrown out of the back windshield and survived, miraculously with only a bit of encephelomalasya in the left frontal lobe. I have had ups and downs, even a legal problem or two. I was a caregiver to my grandfather and father before their deaths. I find certain things to be difficult at times, but I’ve scored well at school during periods of my life. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia also and have some problems relating to motor control like contorted and cramped muscle groups. It can be painful, and I have a bit of pseudobulbar type symptoms. I live in an r.v. next door to my mother in the southern u.s.a. and have a few solar panels and a dog named Roxie. I never married nor had children. I’d like to help others with brain injuries.
