If you had to summarize your brain injury journey in one word, what would that word be and why?
Relearning.
After my brain injury, I had to learn how to live life all over again. I wasn’t expected to survive, and yet here I am two brain surgeries later, earning my teaching degree and working with small groups of kindergarten students. Every milestone that once felt automatic became something I had to rebuild step by step. My journey wasn’t just about recovery… it was about rediscovering who I was and what I was still capable of. I am strong. I am a survivor.
