This webinar will explore simple, everyday tools that support challenges commonly experienced after injury, such as difficulty with memory, focus, or staying organized. From tools you may already own to phone settings you didn’t know you had, participants will learn how technology can ease daily frustrations and promote autonomy. Designed for survivors and caregivers alike, this session offers accessible strategies that meet you where you are.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define assistive technology and describe its relevance for adults living with brain injury.
  • Identify at least five low- or no-cost tools that support memory, organization, and executive function.
  • Explore strategies for choosing and using assistive technology based on individual needs and comfort levels.

    Bethany Compton, MCD, CCC-SLP, CBIS, is a speech-language pathologist and Certified Brain Injury Specialist with over a decade of experience supporting individuals with complex communication and cognitive needs. She has worked in public schools, outpatient clinics, and statewide initiatives focused on assistive technology and brain injury recovery. Bethany is passionate about helping people discover tools that are practical, person-centered, and easy to use; supporting survivors and families as they navigate everyday life.
