Anne McDonnell is the Executive Director of the Brain Injury Association of Virginia. She has a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia, a post-graduate Certificate in Health Care Management and Administration from Old Dominion University, and a Masters of Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). She is also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer. She has more than 25 years of experience in brain injury rehabilitation and advocacy across a continuum of hospital and community based settings, and has worked as a consultant for state agencies and private service providers. She holds a clinical faculty position in the School of Occupational Therapy at VCU, serves on the Virginia Brain Injury Council, and is Chair of the VCU Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems Grant Advisory Board. She has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of America.

Within the last 24 months, have you rendered, or in the next two years, will you render clinical services or support services (whether diagnostic, therapeutic, educational, case management, or similar) to persons with TBI or their family members and caregivers, as an independent professional or employee of a for-profit or not-for-profit organization?: Employed as Executive Director of the BIA of Virginia; directly responsible for providing education, information and referral, and respite services for persons with BI, family members and caregivers. Also responsible for overseeing the work of the entire staff. Doubtful my compensation will increase; organization may see increased revenue from increased funding for respite services.
