Kristen Dams-O’Connor is a clinical neuropsychologist and instructor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and a licensed psychologist in the state of New York. She specializes in neuropsychological assessment, neurorehabilitation, and cognitive remediation. She specializes in working with adults with neurological impairments resulting from traumatic brain injury, stroke, anoxia, sports concussion, brain tumors, dementia, and movement disorders. Dr. Dams-O’Connor employs evidence-based, innovative, goal-oriented interventional approaches to enhance cognitive and adaptive functioning, and to improve self-awareness and social skills.She is the training director of the predoctoral externship program in clinical neuropsychology and rehabilitation research at the Brain Injury Research Center of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. She is also a co-investigator in the Mount Sinai Injury Control Research Center, and the Transforming Research and Clinical Knowledge of TBI project.
