Our TBI Journey

January 10, 2018

It started out as any other rare Saturday that My Husband Rob had off, We were out at a friends home, the guys (Dan, Rob & Ernie) were working on a Mini Bike trying to fix it and I was scouting a location for an outdoors engagement shoot, I had stopped to grab a cold drink and something to eat when I had checked my phone I saw that my best friend had called but left no message, I went back to our friend Ernies home and was then told that Rob had had a bad accident and that Dan was on his way to the Hospital with Rob, Ernie said that it was not good and that Rob was hurt bad. I went up to the hospital where Dan had taken Rob, That hospital was not equipped to take care of trauma cases and had to transport him to the local trauma center in Portland, Oregon. He was there for 5 days. He was able to work for a while, but eventually it got to be to much and he just cant anymore. Rob suffers from not only TBI, but Post Concussion Syndrome, Acute Anxiety, Acute Panic Disorder and Depression. Rob is now filing for SSDI and is considering himself Retired. as soon as his disability comes through we are going to start enjoying Retirement by doing some traveling here in the wonderful Pacific Northwest.
